. At Maverik, we don’t just offer jobs, we offer adventures! We’re looking for a Payment Card Clerk to join our Accounting team and help keep our financial systems running smoothly. In this role, you’ll be the go‑to person for researching and resolving credit card transaction issues, making sure accounts are accurate, discrepancies are handled quickly, and both our internal teams and external partners get top‑notch support.

This position is based out of our Salt Lake City Headquarters and follows a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

• Research and resolve credit card transaction issues, ensuring accurate posting to accounts and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
• Deliver professional, responsive customer service to both internal departments and external partners regarding credit card transactions.
• Maintain and update Accounts Receivable service tickets, ensuring timely tracking and resolution of all open cases.
• Verify that all Methods of Payment (MOPs) are accurate and initiate store book rebuilds when discrepancies are identified.
• Compile uncollectable account data and actively manage the collection process, tracking progress and maintaining detailed records.
• Monitor, track, and process chargeback notifications from credit card companies; investigate transactions and prepare timely, accurate responses to minimize losses.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions.

• Some college level work, with accounting courses and/or associate’s degree preferred.

• 1+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of accounts receivable functions and experience with multiple systems is highly valuable.

Pay Range: $18.00-$19.00 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
