This role is part of the Sales and Use Tax Lookback Review Center of Excellence (COE), where you will manage large, multi‑state sales‑and‑use‑tax recovery projects for our largest clients.

• Provide tax advice on multi‑state sales‑and‑use‑tax recovery projects, ensuring timely and accurate guidance for clients.
• Research clients’ operations and build long‑lasting relationships.
• Identify sales‑and‑use‑tax exemptions, exclusions, and potential over payment opportunities, communicating findings to clients.
• Monitor current tax‑law changes to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
• Develop clear, intelligent plans and approaches for sales‑and‑use‑tax recoveries.
• Prepare and defend sales‑and‑use‑tax refund claims.
• Participate and, when needed, supervise a motivated team of professionals, ensuring they grow to their full potential.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline.
• Professional knowledge of sales‑and‑use‑tax processes, concepts, and tools.
• Proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
• Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects.
• Strong influencing skills and confidence to question existing processes.
• Willingness to travel as needed; ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment.

• CPA qualification (achieved or partially achieved) or certification through the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, CMI designation, or similar.
• Other relevant certifications or ability to sit for a state bar.
