Job Overview

As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you will develop and grow your own practice, supported by branch associates, a home‑office team and other regional financial advisors. You will benefit from the experience that comes from over 100 years of history, as we serve more than eight million clients across the U.S. and Canada. Our advisors are a valued part of our firm and greatly contribute to our success.

We value an inclusive environment where everyone’s different viewpoints help achieve results. Edward Jones is built to help you positively impact clients’ lives, helping them achieve their long‑term financial goals while you make a difference in your community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (e.g., residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).
  • Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase branch effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
  • Create a highly engaging environment in the branch rooted in mutual trust, respect, feedback, and accountability.
  • Complete ongoing training offered by the firm and regulatory authorities, and maintain registrations and licenses in good standing.
  • Operate a firm‑provided branch office in the community.
  • Receive client support to help lighten the load so you can focus on your clients.
  • Benefit from a support network that extends from your client support team to your region and home office – you work independently but have a team of thousands backing you at every step.
Benefits
  • Medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (e.g., accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage (basic life and AD&D are provided at no cost to advisors).
  • 401(k) retirement plan and tax‑advantaged accounts: health savings account and flexible spending account.
  • Flexibility in schedule and eligibility for paid sick leave and paid time off where required by law.
  • Eligibility for bonuses, profit sharing, paid medical and parental leave (subject to eligibility), and participation in the firm’s Travel Award Program.
  • All associates are eligible for the firm’s Employee Assistance Program.
Earn Salary, Commissions, New Asset Compensation
  • No ceiling to earning potential – your compensation is tied to the effort you put in.
  • A multi‑faceted package that also includes profitability bonuses, profit sharing, and incentive travel.
  • Flexibility to balance personal and professional life – the best of both worlds.
