Sr Tax Analyst – Remote
Join Veradigm® as a Sr Tax Analyst and help transform healthcare through research, analytics, and AI. This remote role focuses on preparing tax provisions, filing returns, and ensuring SOX compliance.
Job SummaryPrepare quarterly and year‑end tax provisions, federal, state and local tax returns. Maintain internal controls for SOX 404 compliance. File tax returns timely and assist in financial accounting for income tax on a quarterly and annual basis.
Responsibilities- Maintain knowledge of relevant Internal Revenue Code sections and related regulations, state tax rules and regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, SEC requirements, and other relevant tax and accounting regulations.
- Prepare governmental tax returns and claims for tax refunds.
- Prepare quarterly and year‑end tax provision, including SOX internal control procedures and financial statement tax footnote disclosures.
- Maintain organization’s tax records and files.
- Minimize tax liability through efficient and thorough application of current tax law in the filing of all applicable tax returns.
- Avoid penalties and interest by maintaining adherence to internal controls, tax calendar, and policy.
- Investigate and respond to notices from various taxing authorities.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts relating to corporate income, franchise, and other tax, including deferred tax and payable/receivable accounts.
- Research tax issues, apply results to Veradigm, and write professional memos to establish and support tax positions.
- Interact with internal and external auditors as necessary to complete audits.
- Complete special projects assigned by management.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical/business experience (required).
- 4–7 years relevant work experience (preferred).
- 3–5 years corporate income tax experience, including federal and multistate tax experience (required).
- CPA preferred.
