Assistant Controller

This is a full‑time hybrid position that will require you to be physically present in our Emeryville office a few days a week, with work from home possible on other days after your training period is complete. This position reports directly to the Controller and has the potential for long‑term growth.

• General Ledger account reconciliations and review for accuracy/completeness
• Perform Bank reconciliations
• GAAP prepared Financials Statements
• Prepare financial trend & variance analyses and KPI reports as necessary
• Prepare work papers and provide support with annual financial audit
• Fixed Asset tracking and depreciation calculation
• Prepare a variety of reports for federal, state, and local authorities such as sales tax, business & occupation tax, property tax, etc.
• Accounting and financial statements for related LLCs
• Train and supervise clerical staff
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 3-4 years of work experience preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements required
• CPA certification or 2-3 years of work experience in an audit-related position a plus but not required
• Effective organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Possess strong attention to detail and analytical and problem solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• $125,000-$145,000, depending on experience
