Anticipated salary range: $72,000.00–$87,000.00, with potential eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Role DescriptionThe Ethics Office within the SMBC Americas Division Compliance Department seeks a Program Governance Analyst. This analyst supports all teams across the Ethics Office, including the Conduct Management Program, Compliance Culture Program, and Employee Compliance Program. The analyst works closely with subject‑matter experts, compliance officers, and technology colleagues and should have familiarity with financial services and a willingness to learn.
Role Objectives- Contribute to the development of content supporting key components of the Ethics Governance program.
- Perform periodic data collection and reporting of metrics and risk indicators to measure Ethics Program effectiveness.
- Produce relevant reporting for senior management and committees.
- Work with stakeholders across the Americas Division.
- Conduct policy and procedure gap analysis.
- Other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Approximately 1–3 years of experience in the financial services field.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and a desire to deliver a quality, meaningful work product efficiently.
- Proactive, self‑starter comfortable developing new programs and enhancing existing programs.
- Strong analytical skills, including experience using PowerPoint, Excel, and other tools to produce reports and manage data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Energetic, eager to learn new skills, and interested in expanding knowledge of compliance topics.
