Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Manager plays a key role in overseeing the Firm’s financial operations, including accounting, tax, financial reporting, and treasury management. This individual will ensure the integrity of the general ledger, support accurate and timely financial reporting, and manage compliance with internal controls and external regulations. The role combines technical accounting expertise with team leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
After an initial period of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.
- Oversees cash flow, banking activity, and investment of excess funds to manage liquidity and minimize risk.
- Ensures accuracy of the general ledger and the posting of daily cash receipts.
- Leads internal control reviews and drives process improvements across accounting functions.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinates preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and related compliance.
- Manages fixed asset accounting, budget input, and insurance renewal data.
- Supervises and evaluates team performance; provides coaching and development.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and federal/state tax principles.
- Familiarity with payroll administration across multiple states.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment.
- Strong time management and problem‑solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with Aderant and Workday Adaptive Planning preferred.
