About the Role
The Manager, Actuarial leads a team of analysts and is responsible for pricing of several ACA markets. You will be a critical partner to Market P&L, Insurance Product, and other analytic support teams for consultation of regional specific pricing, network and product strategy. You will also lead the end‑to‑end regulatory submission, understand risks underlying the markets, and ensure pricing is actuarially sound.
You will report into the Director, Actuarial.
This is a remote position open to candidates who reside in Dallas, TX. The role may evolve to involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area.
Pay TransparencyThe base pay for this role is $118,080 – $154,980 per year. Responsibilities- Maintain pricing models and methodologies, perform trend analyses and experience monitoring.
- Oversee end-to-end rate development within a specific region for Oscar’s ACA markets.
- Influence and collaborate with partners to guide strategic decisions concerning rates.

E and market dynamics in your region and apply those learnings to guide prospective pricing strategy. - Provide an actuarial viewpoint across teams for Oscar’s ACA‑compliant Individual and Small Group markets as we grow in existing and new markets.
- Mentor, coach, and provide regular feedback to pricing analysts.
- Promote and shape Oscar actuarial best practices with respect to automation and documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships, rapport, and lines of communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

- College degree in a STEM field.
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), or on the track to become one.
- 5+ years of quantitative analysis experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong understanding of health insurance concepts and nuances.
