OpportunityEY Private Tax is a growing practice within the organization, dedicated to serving privately held companies. Our clients range from family‑owned businesses to private‑equity owned companies, and from startups to multi‑billion‑dollar global private companies. YourKey Responsibilities
- Prepare or review federal and state tax returns for U.S. partnerships and foreign reporting requirements for cross‑border compliance, including foreign partnerships, corporations, disregarded entities, and affiliate reporting.
- Provide tax research, draft memoranda, and assist in quantitative modelling for private client tax advisory services.
- Identify and communicate significant tax matters to Managers and Senior Managers.
- Liaise and develop relationships with other service lines and subject‑matter professionals.
- Build effective long‑term client relationships, understanding unique client needs to deliver tailored service.
- Communicate complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
- Maintain and share technical knowledge and best practices.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to excel.
- Identify and mitigate risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field with tax, business, or financial planning experience.
- A CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
- Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, confident in challenging stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in professional services or a professional tax organization.
- Experience in a balanced hybrid environment and willingness to travel as needed.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
- Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH Intelli Connect, One Source, BNA or Lexis Nexis.
- Experience with gift, estate, and trust tax planning and compliance (plus).
- Experience in managing, coaching, and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Tax professionals with a genuine interest in providing outstanding services to influential clients and companies.
- A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with a base salary range of $106,500 to $195,100 nationwide (geographic adjustments apply).
