Remote Tax Professional role serving clients with diverse tax needs, supported by a team of tax experts and advanced training. This position emphasizes client relationships, tax knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and assist do-it-yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to coordinate remote work and communicate impact on results.
• Grow tax expertise and stay current with tax regulations and client needs.

Your Expertise

• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience and skill with technology (MS Teams and Outlook).
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations concisely via phone, email, and chat to inspire confidence.
• Experience utilizing effective customer service techniques.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Ability to research information using tax publications and tools to understand client needs.
