Overview

Experienced Tax Professional - Remote at H&R Block. This position provides tax assistance to clients remotely with support from an expert team and comprehensive tax training.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients via virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Support DIY online tax clients through virtual platforms.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to coordinate remote work and achieve results.
• Grow tax expertise and stay current with tax guidance and tools.

• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience using technology, specifically MS Teams and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations clearly via phone, email, and chat to inspire client confidence.
• Experience utilizing effective customer service techniques.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2 or equivalent.
• High school diploma or higher.
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Skill in researching information using tax publications and tools (e.g., IRS Publications/Instructions).
