As a Remote Tax Professional you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs and receive support from an expert team with advanced tax training to help you succeed.
Responsibilities- Conduct tax interviews with clients and support do it yourself online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email)
- Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
- Communicate and coordinate regularly with leaders and peers about how your remote work is impacting results
- Grow your tax expertise
- Demonstrated ability to conduct tax interviews with clients and support DIY online tax clients using virtual tools
- Experience helping clients with tax planning and/or audit support
- 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
- Experience conducting virtual tax interviews that create confidence in clients
- Sales and/or marketing experience
- Experience completing individual tax returns
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Access to high speed, reliable internet
- Experience and skilled in technology (MS Teams and Outlook)
- Ability to communicate complex tax situations concisely via phone, email and chat
- Customer service skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent
- High school diploma or higher
- Must complete continuing education and meet IRS/state requirements
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season
- Skill in researching tax information using various tools (e.g., IRS Publications/Instructions)
The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Pay decisions depend on experience, education, skill, and location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and enroll in benefits and coverage programs.
Pay Range
$16.50/Hr. – $80.00/Hr.
