As a Remote Tax Professional, you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs, supported by an expert team and advanced tax training to help you be successful.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients and support DIY online tax clients through virtual tools (video conferencing, phone, chat, email).
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Collaborate with leaders and peers to coordinate remote work and impact results.
• Grow your tax expertise over time.

• Experience completing individual tax returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Access to high-speed, reliable internet.
• Experience with technology (MS Teams and Outlook).
• Ability to communicate complex tax situations concisely via phone, email, and chat to inspire client confidence.
• Experience using effective customer service techniques.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or equivalent.
• High school diploma or higher; ongoing continuing education and compliance with IRS and state requirements.
• Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during peak tax season.
• Skill in researching information using various tax tools and IRS publications.

• Converse with clients and support DIY online tax clients through virtual tools.
• Support business growth and client retention; coordinate with the team on remote work impact.
• Collaborate to achieve team success and expand tax knowledge.

The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Eligible associates may participate in incentive plans and benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, and associates tax prep benefit.

Pay range: $11.00 - $80.00 per hour.
