What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):
Reporting to the Senior Manager and as a part of a team of security professionals, this role has enterprise-wide responsibility in support of the Executive & Employee protection program and the four (4) related pillars;
Physical Security of Executive Offices and Residences, Travel Security, Event Security and Public Meeting Support for Executives and Training.
This role requires extensive collaboration with internal and external partners and leverages various risk mitigation strategies to ensure a safe workplace / activity, both locally and abroad.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):
Plan and provide liaison support on executive events and initiatives with coordinated supervision.
Assist in the creation and execution of operational plans to ensure that all assigned functions / activities are completed in a defined and timely manner as approved.
Provide active event status updates to the Senior Manager and other involved parties as needed.
Operates independently and within a team environment at the highest level of exposure.
Always demonstrate a mature, positive, and professional attitude.
Escalate and resolve issues/requests for assistance in a timely manner.
Provide tactical advice, guidance and support related to security concerns.
Research and analyze industry best practices to continually support a “best in class” environment and evaluate new initiatives and revisions to programs and procedures.
Act as primary or alternate liaison support when required for executive member engagements where deemed necessary.
Actively promote and perform activity planning that demonstrates safety precautions for all CIBC employees.
Immediately respond to all departmental management and Senior Executive requests.
Development and maintenance of Program reporting metrics including CIBC Record Retention requirements.
This position requires local, out of province/country travel and may require evening event attendance when required.

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):
Must Have

Skills:

Must demonstrate superior English language skills, both written and oral French language skills would be considered an asset.
Valid First Aid, CPR (Level

C) with AED is required.
A valid Passport and a Driver’s License with a clean abstract is required.
Exercises flexibility and responsiveness to non-routine requests or events in a rapid and a fast-paced environment.
Possession of a professional designation in the field of security and/or post-secondary education or demonstrated 2-5 years equivalent experience is required.
Ability to actively apply physical security and CPTED standards good knowledge of CIBC Group of Companies.
Excellent working knowledge of PC applications (eg, Microsoft Office Suite) is required.
Developed knowledge of CIBC operations and controls, factors that contribute to risk, and the ability to assess, measure and monitor risk within CIBC guidelines.
Ability to contribute to multiple projects and/or initiatives simultaneously and under tigt deadlines; including those of a high profile or priority.
