At Immense Events, we are seeking to recruit a Freelance Event Manager to support our rapidly growing organisation.

This is an exciting new role, which will require enthusiasm along with excellent leadership, communication skills, and great team management.

The company

Founded in 2013, Immense Events is a successful events and hire business. We are a leading provider of live music and food-based festivals across Dorset. We have a structured and sustainable growth plan for the next few years and are looking for someone to grow and develop within the role as the company continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities Pre Planning
  • Building and overseeing processes based on our business goals; ensuring compliance in all areas
  • Working with Directors to plan project timelines and managing timelines and budgets
  • Contributing to strategic planning as the company develops and projects and staffing expand
  • Recommending solutions that will improve company profitability and efficiency
  • Monitoring daily operations and addressing potential issues as they arise
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Checking trader paperwork & compliance
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback for continuous improvement
  • Managing the event site throughout the event.
  • Managing contractors and the siting of traders
  • Lead and supervise event staff such as stewards, cleaners, site/build crew, gate staff
  • Monitoring daily operations and addressing potential issues as they arise
  • Ensuring event safety is managed during the build and live event
  • Complete post-event reports and incident logs.
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • A passion for events and a positive can do attitude
  • Previous event management experience across a wide range of events including music & family festivals
  • Proven experience of financial planning and budgeting
  • Experience working with contractors including security, medical, production & marquee companies etc
  • Basic knowledge of event infrastructure - marquees, fencing, plant & machinery,
  • Basic knowledge of bars, ticketing, stewarding etc
  • A high level of experience in event paperwork, risk assessments, event management plans, build schedules etc
  • Experience in managing the safety of an event from the build to the live event
  • Proven experience of managing a team
  • IT skills – ability to confidently use Microsoft Office, previous experience using Word, Excel, Powerpoint/Canva
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with stakeholders and external partners, to ensure the successful and timely delivery of events.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan and deliver on complex projects with variable factors on time
  • Proven complex problem-solving skills
  • A flexible, creative, committed approach
  • Must hold a full UK driving Licence
  • Experience in traffic management & traffic management plans
  • Experience in event campsite planning and management
  • First Aid Trained
  • Knowledge of licensing law
  • Personal Licence
Key Information

Employment Type:

Freelance event pre planning and on site event work

Dates include;

  • 27th July - 5th August - Poole, Dorset
  • 10th - 18th August - Bridport, Dorset

Location:

(Working from home, plus some office based work in Bournemouth and requirement to work on-site at festival location over some weekends, weekend work / additional hours as overtime or time in lieu)

Salary: £20+ per hour dependent upon experience, day rate for on site work.
