The Woskob Family Gallery at Penn State's College of Arts and Architecture is seeking Gallery Assistants to join their contemporary art space throughout the academic year. The role provides hands-on experience in gallery operations, including exhibition installation and de-installation, staffing during open hours to welcome visitors and provide information, supporting events and public programs, handling basic administrative tasks, and managing social media accounts with content creation and community engagement.

• Assist with exhibition installation and de-installation.
• Staff the gallery during open hours to welcome visitors and provide information.
• Support events and public programs.
• Handle basic administrative tasks.
• Manage social media accounts with content creation and community engagement.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Interest in contemporary art and gallery practices.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Flexibility for variable scheduling that includes evenings and weekends for openings and special events.
• Previous exhibition installation experience is a significant advantage.

Starting rate is $20/hour
