Position: Senior Civil Engineer (PE)

Our Client is seeking a Licensed Civil Engineer (PE) to lead land development and site design projects from concept through permitting and construction. This role blends technical design expertise with project leadership and client engagement, supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and infrastructure development initiatives.

Position Impact

This position plays a critical role in delivering compliant, high-quality site development solutions while guiding project teams, navigating regulatory approvals, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the full project lifecycle.

As a Licensed Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Designing site development plans including grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater systems, utilities, and roadway infrastructure

Leading project teams and managing schedules, deliverables, and administrative coordination

Preparing and submitting plans for regulatory review and securing construction permits

Serving as primary client contact, providing technical guidance and regular project updates

Preparing technical reports and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards

Must-Have Qualifications

Professional Engineer (PE) License (Required)

Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

Strong experience in land development and site design

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

Experience managing projects from design through permitting

Strong technical writing and client communication skills

Must be local to Wilmington, NC or willing to relocate

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with stormwater modeling and hydraulic design software

Experience coordinating with local and state regulatory agencies

Ability to lead cross-functional project teams
