Overview

We are developing a nature-based carbon project across existing date palm farms in the MENA region, targeting registration under the Verra Verified Carbon Standard. We are looking for one senior advisor to join our Board — someone who has shepherded a project through the full Verra cycle and wants meaningful long-term upside in return. This is a fully remote role. Location is irrelevant.

Impact and track record are everything.

You will guide our team through methodology selection and confirmation (VM0042 / VM0047), PDD development, VVB engagement, and the path to first VCU issuance. You will help us structure the project correctly from day one, flag risks before they become problems, and leverage your network within the voluntary carbon ecosystem.

Beyond the technical process, your judgment on market positioning, co-benefits narrative, and buyer relationships will be equally valued.

• 5+ years in voluntary carbon markets with verifiable NBS or agricultural land management project credits issued under Verra VCS
• Direct experience authoring or overseeing PDD submissions through to validation
• Working knowledge of VM0042 (Improved Agricultural Land Management) and/or VM0047 (ARR/Revegetation)
• Established relationships with accredited VVBs
• Familiarity with MENA regulatory or land environments — a strong advantage
• The ability to operate with autonomy — we need a navigator, not a junior consultant
