Position Overview
This position functions as the recognized resource for Traffic Safety and Operations and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) within the University Region, providing support services in traffic safety, work zone operations, design plan preparation and construction coordination. This position requires meeting tight deadlines and resolving issues to ensure the successful implementation and operation of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) services and products.
This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license to perform on-site reviews and measurements.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate through the maximum rate of the Transportation Engineer 12 position.

EducationPossession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
ExperienceThree years of professional engineering experience involved in transportation systems and programs equivalent to a Transportation Engineer, including one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11. Transportation Engineer 9-12.
Qualifications- Possession of a valid driver's license.

Applicants who possess foreign degrees must have their academic credentials evaluated or converted into U.S. educational equivalents.
