Our client is a very successful Swiss group of companies based in Aargau with several locations throughout Switzerland. It enjoys an excellent reputation in the planning, implementation, operation, and maintenance of infrastructure and energy systems. As a partner of energy supply companies and industry, it implements the expansion of very large energy infrastructure projects in the extra‑high, high, and medium voltage sectors.

We are allowed to support our client at the Aarau location in the further expansion of nationwide energy systems and are looking for a specialist in

Specialist Requirements & Quality Assurance Substations.

As a central hub of the Swiss power grid, our client implements demanding substation projects every year that place the highest demands on safety, reliability, and durability. In this key role, you will take on the client‑side technical support and quality assurance of the structural planning – from GIS halls to transformer sites to operational buildings, pipe blocks, and physical security installations.

Your

area of responsibility
  • Technical support and management of the planning of substation construction projects across all SIA phases – with a clear focus on HVAC, fire protection, physical security, and occupational safety / health / environmental protection (AGU).
  • Active quality assurance in all project phases – from the preliminary study to commissioning.
  • Ensuring a clear, trustworthy, and goal‑oriented interface between Swissgrid project managers and external planning offices.
  • Consulting, leading, and moderating interdisciplinary working groups – also across organizational boundaries.
  • Clear presentation of technical matters to internal stakeholders, authorities, and (partly) the public.
Your profile
  • Completed engineering degree (BSc / MSc / ETH / FH) in civil engineering, building technology, energy and environmental technology, or comparable.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in planning, execution, or maintenance of building construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
  • In‑depth knowledge in HVAC / building technology, fire protection, and/or physical security installations – ideally already in sensitive infrastructure facilities.
  • Very good knowledge of relevant Swiss standards and regulations (SIA, fire protection regulations, building law, etc.).
  • Structured, independent working style; enjoyment in structuring complex packages and creating clear decision bases.
  • Very good communication skills – you explain technology understandably, moderate purposefully, and win people over for solutions.
  • Confident handling of MS Office; CAD knowledge (preferably Revit / AutoCAD) is an advantage.
  • Experience with BIM methodology as well as knowledge from network / substation projects is highly desired.
  • Very good German skills. Good to very good English skills in spoken and written form. French or Italian at least at B2 level is advantageous.
  • Your place of residence is in Switzerland.
