As our new Sales Engineer, CBS - Singapore
, you will be driving sales growth for our Commercial Building Services (CBS) portfolio in Singapore by combining technical expertise with consultative selling to deliver optimal pump and water technology solutions to customers. As a key part of the Commercial Building Services (CBS) team, you'll create impact by Building trusted partnerships with consultants, contractors, and end-users to ensure Grundfos solutions are specified and installed in commercial projects across Singapore.
Your main responsibilities include:- Handle sales of assigned business scope within the framework of the strategies and policies of the company
- Implement of sales policies, procedures and systems to ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Create and maintain good relationship with customers, M&E Consultants, Developer & End-User.
- Recommend sales strategies and budgets for specific business areas within designated regions to achieve sales targets, ensuring task-level execution aligns with these strategies, complies with company policies, and is within the assigned authority.
- Monitor account receivable balances monthly; follow up with customers on outstanding balances to ensure timely payments, helping to manage cash flow and reduce potential bad debts.
- Maintain good relationship with dealers, customer, building project’s owner, engineering contractor, design institute, consulting firms, and authorities.
Above all, you are a technically strong and commercially minded professional with a proven track record in B2B sales of HVAC, pumping, or building services equipment. We would also imagine that you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or related discipline)
- 3+ years of sales experience in pumps, HVAC, or commercial building services
- Strong technical knowledge of water systems, pump applications, or building mechanical systems
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with fluency in English
- Strong ability to influence others and possess a great understanding of relevant systems, local laws and regulations in the commercial building sector.
- Strong knowledge of pump systems for plumbing, sanitary, and HVAC applications, with the ability to connect with customers, M&E consultants, and developers/end-users.
- The role requires frequent visits to client sites, such as mixed development sites, data centers, office buildings, or other locations where the product or services are implemented for sales engineers to understand the client's environment and tailor their solutions accordingly. It also requires high levels of physical activity, including walking, climbing, standing, and potentially lifting equipment or materials during site visits.
- Being energetic with the ability to work in various environments with PPE is essential.
- The role also requires flow rate and head loss system calculations, submission of calculations and technical data to consultants for approval on the actual pump model, submission of mechanical and electrical drawings for approval, site coordination (with subcontractors and customers) for site meetings, pump delivery, installation, and T&C, progress claim submission to obtain agreement on payment, authority submission (PUB), O&M manual submission, and quarterly maintenance under the DLP period (12, 15, or 18 months)
