Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager
Terracon is seeking an experienced Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager to join our National EHS Services Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to manage teams responsible for the execution of programmatic environmental compliance services.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the initiatives of the National EHS Services Team.
- Oversee and ensure consistent operations and practices of teams by executing programmatic work for national clients.
- Monitor the performance of program teams through site visits, safety incident investigation, quality audits and metrics.
- Provide leadership and direction on practices and workforce/equipment utilization to local management.
- Partner with operations outside the National EHS Services team to develop and deliver coordinated and consistent services across all regions.
- Monitor safety, quality, and production of national teams and provide recommendations.
- Assist local offices with marketing activities related to the business segment, including pricing and planning.
- Participate and provide input in the recruitment, interview, and selection process for National EHS Services team members.
- Manage risk related to projects. Ensure contracts are signed and fully executed prior to commencing work. Monitor adherence to corporate risk policies and practices. Hold Managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating risk.
- Communicate safety initiatives, rules and guidelines to staff.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
- Air permitting (Title V and minor source)
- Stormwater/SWPPP
- RCRA/Hazardous waste
- Compliance auditing
- Oil Storage/SPCC plans
- SARA Title III (Tier II/TRI) reporting
- Industrial wastewater/NPDES
- Sustainability/ESG
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology and a minimum of 10 years’ related experience.
- Proven ability to engage and lead a team of technical staff and mentor their growth.
- Experience managing large environmental compliance focused programs.
- Demonstrated high level of technical writing ability.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work and possess a positive attitude.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managed.
- 40‑Hour OSHA HAZWOPER and current 8‑Hr refresher preferred.
