Position:
Environmental Professional I - II
Compensation: $50,000 - $75,000 (based upon level of experience and education)
SummaryPartners’ Practice Areas service a broad range of clients, typically completing initial environmental assessments to meet legal, lender and regulatory requirements. The Environmental Professional I/II provides support and works independently on projects. After demonstrating consistent competence in addressing environmental issues, they will be assigned additional tasks. This is an entry level position with room for growth and exposure to different and more complex projects.
- Complete Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA);
- Remediation project field and contractor oversight;
- Mix of field and office work, including lifting up to 50lbs and travel/driving to job sites;
- Gather current & historical data;
- Maintain complete and legible field notes; and
- Prepare accurate reports including supporting tables, figures, and photographs which illustrate information presented in the report text and convey conclusions.
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related discipline is required;
- Zero (0) to four (4) years of experience in environmental consulting related to assessment or remediation;
- Has a basic understanding of environmental regulations at the state and federal level;
- Exceptional technical writing skills (writing samples may be requested);
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills;
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently;
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record;
- Current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training certificate is preferred (or ability to obtain training prior to hire date);
- Experience in GIS, CAD, or similar tools is a plus; and
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
