Position DescriptionOklo is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to support purchasing execution and supplier engagement across reactor hardware, systems, and production programs. This role focuses on competitive sourcing, RFP execution, commercial negotiations, and purchase order management in support of high‑complexity hardware builds. The position reports to the Senior Procurement Manager and works cross‑functionally with engineering, manufacturing, quality, legal, and program teams to ensure on‑time, cost‑effective procurement of critical components.
This position may be based in Santa Clara, CA or remote within the United States.
- Execute competitive sourcing events, including RFP distribution, bid leveling, commercial analysis, and supplier selection
- Create, review, and release purchase orders in alignment with negotiated terms
- Partner with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and supplier capabilities
- Support cost analysis and commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Track open purchase orders and ensure alignment with program schedules
- Coordinate with quality and supplier development teams on onboarding and documentation requirements
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support internal reporting
- Drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes and supplier responsiveness
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field
- 2+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a hardware‑focused environment
- Experience supporting production or complex product builds
- Familiarity with RFP processes, commercial analysis, and purchase order management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment
- Experience building products in nuclear, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing industries
- Experience supporting early‑stage or high‑growth hardware programs
- Familiarity with P2P/ERP/MRP systems
- Working knowledge of technical drawings and specifications
- Passionate about clean energy
