T&M Associates is looking for a Principal Water Engineer to join our growing Columbus, Ohio office. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration. We’re seeking an experienced professional with 7+ years in water and wastewater planning, design, and construction administration, ready to lead impactful projects and guide multi-discipline teams.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (required)
- 7+ years of progressive experience in water/wastewater process, treatment, and distribution projects
- 2+ years of project management experience preferred
- Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D desired
- MS Office and MS Project experience required
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to work with clients and cross-discipline teams
- Lead planning and design for municipal and industrial water/wastewater infrastructure projects
- Manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, and technical documentation from design through construction
- Oversee complex projects, including Design Reports, bidding, and construction phases
- Develop proposals, budgets, and technical strategies for new opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through active engagement
- Assemble and mentor multi-discipline teams, providing guidance to junior staff
T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $110,000 - $140,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
