We’re looking for a talented and motivated Civil Design Engineer to join our collaborative, award-winning team dedicated to creating thoughtful, high-quality projects that serve and inspire our community. What You’ll Do
  • Lead site design from conceptual development through fully detailed construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Perform design calculations and hydraulic modeling (water, sewer, storm drainage), SCM design, and erosion control plans.
  • Produce high-quality design reports, figures, and technical exhibits.
  • Review engineering documents, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with clients, review agencies, contractors, and cross‑disciplinary team members—often serving as a primary point of contact.
  • Prepare, submit, and track required site and utility permits to keep projects moving on schedule.
What You Bring
  • Ability to interpret and follow complex technical instructions.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles related to site development and utilities.
  • Understanding of North Carolina building codes, regulatory standards, and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency with engineering software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow, Water

    CAD, and Microsoft Office/Excel.
  • Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, fast‑paced environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in NC.
  • 5–15 years of experience specifically in site design.
  • Interest in collaborating with in-house Landscape Architects and participating in multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a valid Driver’s License.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, NC.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $45.00/hr.
