Senior Civil Engineer: Sustainable Water

WSP South Africa is looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Professional Civil Engineer with water infrastructure design experience, who will function as a senior design engineer and project manager for infrastructure projects in Africa/Middle East and able to support the international business as required.

• B Tech / BEng or BSc Civil Engineering
• Professional Registration (PrEng/ Pr Tech Eng)
• 5 - 8 years’ experience in design engineering
• Extensive experience with the Civil 3D Suite
• Proven competence in Water infrastructure Engineering Design
• Experience as Project Manager and/or Engineering Management

• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
• Strong technical skills
• Confidence in own abilities and decision‑making
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Technical report writing
• Strong (proven) management and interpersonal skills
• Self‑training ability, with an affinity to learn new design technologies
• Self‑motivated and a driver
• Strong (proven) track record of work‑winning will be an advantage

• Design of water related infrastructure using Civil3D.
• Analysis of flood systems using Hec‑Ras (2D) or the like.
• Hydrological modelling using Hec‑HMS, Info Drainage (optional), PCSWMM is a requirement. Similar software is an advantage.
