A leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major infrastructure works under the AMP8 water framework is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team. While the contractor has a regional hub in Falmer, attendance is entirely optional - ideal for experienced estimators seeking a work-from-home opportunity without compromising on the scale or prestige of projects.

About the Role of Estimator
As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in pricing major infrastructure schemes as part of the AMP8 programme. You'll work closely with bid managers, planners, and operational leads to produce accurate, competitive, and well-considered tenders. Projects typically span complex water treatment facilities, pipelines, and associated civils works up to £50m+ in value.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale water infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the bid lifecycle
• Engage with the supply chain to gather pricing, lead times, and innovations
• Contribute to tender strategies and value engineering discussions
• Maintain estimating systems and cost databases

Requirements

• Proven experience in estimating, ideally for infrastructure or utilities projects
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering works (water sector experience is advantageous)
• Proficient in estimating tools and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams
• Familiarity with NEC contracts is desirable
