Build the Power Core of a Next-Generation Energy Platform in fast paced start up environment.

An innovative, sustainability-focused energy company is hiring a mid-career Electrical / Power Electronics Engineer to design and integrate high-power systems for distributed generation projects.

This is a system-level role with real ownership from architecture through prototyping, integration, commissioning, and launch.

Remote working is possible, with an expectation of on-site presence near Raleigh every other week for a few days.

• Architect and integrate low- and medium-voltage electrical systems
• Specify and integrate power electronics (VFDs, DC-DC converters, AC inverters)
• Support battery systems, switch gear, protection, and control hardware integration
• Work across multiple vendors and technology stacks
• Lead hands-on prototyping, testing, and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with NEC, UL, IEEE standards
• Collaborate closely with mechanical and systems teams

• 8–12 years’ experience in power electronics or distributed energy systems
• Background in high-power electronics
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, autonomous startup environment
• Small team. High ownership. Real impact on scalable, sustainable energy infrastructure.
