Sr Mechanical Designer
We are seeking an experienced Sr Mechanical Designer to oversee and review calculations and drawings for multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will manage projects with dedicated designers and ensure compliance with customer requirements, focusing primarily on HVAC Mechanical and Plumbing designs.
Responsibilities- Review calculations and drawings of assigned designers on projects.
- Oversee plumbing designs and manage drawing revisions from code/city reviews.
- Identify knowledge gaps and provide training to designers to reduce future redlines.
- Verify calculations and review drawings, redlining any mistakes or missing items.
- Coordinate and manage multiple projects, ensuring work matches customer requirements.
- Expert level ability in AutoCAD.
- Project coordination and management skills.
- Experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
- Proficiency in MEP design and drafting.
- Ability to run calculations for projects.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in fast turn-around projects such as retail/restaurant rollouts.
- Revit proficiency is a nice-to-have.
This position offers a fully remote work environment for employees not local to St. Louis, with up to 75% of the team working remotely. Local employees are required to be in the office every other Monday and Tuesday, totaling four days a month.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
