Architectural Engineer

Fortress Infrastructure, LLC is a growing multi-disciplinary design/build company based in Boulder, CO. We specialize in the design and construction of secure infrastructure for the Department of War with primary focus towards OCONUS (outside continental US) locations. As we grow, we will opportunistically pursue CONUS and local projects.

This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Boulder, CO. This will be primarily a home office position. We will also meet in person and collaborate (especially at the start). There will also be some international travel.

• Design multi-disciplinary tenant improvements for secure facilities.
• Support project code compliance (IBC)
• >50% daily design / drafting
• Perform load calculation and system sizing
• Support submittal preparation (on our part) and submittal review of other contractors
• Perform site surveys internationally
• Expect 10 - 15% International travel (Japan, Korea, Pacific Islands, Europe)
• Support estimating and proposal writing
• Support list-of-material (LoM) creating and material management
• Supervision and training provided for all of the above.

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited preferred)
• BSCE w/ code / architectural classes would also be considered
• 0 to 3 years experience
• Ability to qualify and willingness to obtain secret security clearance

• Colorado front-range home office location

• PE, PMP or other credentials
• Base salary:$65,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
• Home office primarily
• Will meet in-person and collaborate (especially at start)
• Performance bonus of up to 15% base salary
