This is a full-time hybrid role for a DMV DOT (DDOT, VDOT, MDOT) Business Development Specialist at M&J Engineering, P.C. The role will entail identifying and developing new business opportunities, generating leads, conducting market research, and providing customer service. The business development specialist will be based in Arlington, VA with some remote work allowed.

• 5-10 years of experience in the transportation or engineering industry required
• Prior work history with DMV DOT agencies highly perferred
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Experience with lead generation and creating business opportunities
• Market research skills
• Customer service experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

Relevant skills and qualifications would include experience with technical proposal writing, client interface, contract management, developing pipeline and budget forecasts, recruiting key technical personnel to staff contract wins, and the ability to work within a team environment to deliver results that meet and exceed client expectations.
