What Your Job Will Be LikeWe are seeking a Quality Assurance Technologist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. In this role you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining quality assurance programs, procedures, and support systems to ensure our staff, products and services meet regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive in enforcing requirements, identifying opportunities for improvements and recognizing gaps in the processes.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Work with cross-organizational team on development of new solutions or enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
- Gather customer requirements for nuclear quality assurance solutions.
- Implement quality assurance programs, procedures, and controls to ensure that the performance and quality of organizational documents, records, training and services meet requisite standards.
- Work directly with programs and projects to define, develop and implement solutions or enhancements using tools such as Aras, SharePoint, Power
BI, or other applications to meet regulatory requirements. - Evaluate or test solutions and/or systems before implementation or release for engineering, information management, configuration management, training or other organizations.
- Compile and maintain records and/or databases to support qualification of personnel.
- Develop and maintain dashboards for performance metrics, training, and onboarding.
- Support development of on-demand training through video recording various operations and activities.
- Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
$63,800 - $123,400
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in organizing electronic documents and records, and performing quality reviews using internal and/or external criteria
- Experience with SharePoint site creation and administration and metagroup maintenance
- Experience creating and maintaining Word templates
- Experience using Excel
- Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent (eg; DOW Top Secret)
- Experience using Aras for information management
- Experience with Confluence
- Experience with video recording equipment
- Knowledge and experience in document review processes and maintaining/reviewing procedures to established standards
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient using quality assurance software and tools software
- Ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia's core values
Group 1380, Nuclear Facility Operations and Applied Nuclear Technologies (Technical Area - V), operates four unique nuclear facilities and conducts radiation effects research and analysis supporting the mission of Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) and the nation's interest.
