Overview
Technical Project Management requires specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for a technical process or project including:
- Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports; conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets
- Providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards and reviewing project deliverables
- Analyzing and documenting requirements by liaising with a range of users in the organization
- On some projects, where applicable, managing the integration of vendor tasks and tracking & reviewing vendor deliverables
Responsibilities typically include:
- Managing larger and more complex projects than a Project Manager and overseeing a higher number of projects
- Working with senior leadership to solve problems as they arise within the project
- Managing projects/processes independently with limited supervision
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals
- Addressing difficult and sometimes complex problems

- 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree (Required)
- 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree (Required)
- Experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant professional certification required (e.g., PPM, PgMP, ACP, etc.)
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience required
