What you'll be doing- Create mechanical ventilation design deliverables for both low and high integrity ductwork systems.
- Review and check vendor documentation for mechanical compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments. Communicate residual design risks to others.
- Ensure integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety and sustainability of design and engineering to enable compliant defect free handover.
- Coordination with Principle designer and Principle Contractor ensuring regular flow of information to comply with requirements of CDM.
- Support Design Managers with design/construction reviews and sign off.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have experience working on large-scale Mechanical engineering construction projects such as power generation, water treatment, energy infrastructure, or nuclear decommissioning.
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent training and suitable experience
- Relevant Professional accreditation is highly advantageous
- IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH
- Ability to promote innovation and continuous improvement in design
- Detailed knowledge of codes of practice, in particular designer duties and responsibilities under CDM and other regulatory requirements
