Civil Technician (Water / Wastewater) | Belfast Vickerstock are working in partnership with a local, multi-disciplinary consultancy to recruit a Civil Technician to join their Belfast team. This role will suit a technician with experience in the water and wastewater sector, who enjoys working on technically challenging infrastructure projects and contributing to the delivery of essential utility schemes. You will be joining a collaborative design team working across a broad portfolio of projects supporting the planning, upgrade, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Your new role as Civil Technician As Civil Technician, you will support the engineering team in producing detailed technical drawings and models across a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities will include:
Producing 2D drawings and 3D models for civil engineering projects within the water and wastewater sector. Supporting the design of infrastructure such as pumping stations, treatment works, pipelines, and associated site infrastructure. Preparing general arrangements, sections, and construction drawings in line with project requirements. Working closely with engineers to translate design concepts into coordinated technical outputs. Assisting with the preparation of design documentation and technical deliverables.

Coordinating drawings with other disciplines to ensure consistency and accuracy across project information. Maintaining drawing standards and ensuring outputs comply with project specifications and industry standards. What you'll need to succeed as Civil Technician To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:
Experience working as a Civil Technician within an engineering consultancy or design environment. Previous involvement in water or wastewater infrastructure projects. Strong capability in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D. An understanding of civil engineering design and construction principles. Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality technical drawings. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams. A proactive approach and willingness to develop technical skills further.
