Software Engineer
Company Overview
Adraxe Corporation is an innovative medical device startup focused on the design, development, and launch of breakthrough, minimally invasive neuromodulation solutions to address unmet patient needs. The results from the first clinical epilepsy patients are encouraging and we are at the important stage of hiring key personnel to accelerate our progress and start our full product and clinical development. Our goal is to revolutionize neurological care with life-compatible, closed-loop neuromodulation therapies, starting with epilepsy.
AboutThe Role
The neural engineer will be responsible for designing model-based software and devising a plan to ensure that this software is based on sound scientific evidence and incorporates electric field modeling. The engineer will also focus on developing a semi-automatic data pipeline that would offer the future clinician various configuration options.
In addition, the neural engineer will work on seizure and epileptiform brain activity detection algorithms that are accurate and energy efficient.
Finally, the neural engineer will participate in intellectual property development activities.
The neural engineer reports directly to the VP of Engineering with a functional reporting line to the CEO for neuroscience analysis and will have significant input into Adraxe strategy, planning, and operations.
What You'll Do- Fully understand and, where possible, test existing modeling software.
- Define user requirements and specifications for model‑based software.
