Job DescriptionAs an Advanced Cyber Security Architect Engineer on the Aerospace Enterprise Governance team at Honeywell, you will support the design, development, and implementation of security solutions that protect our aerospace systems and data. In this role, you will apply your cybersecurity expertise to strengthen defenses, evaluate risks, and contribute to secure system architectures across the aerospace portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and enhancement of cybersecurity controls and system protections for Honeywell’s aerospace products and platforms.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability analyses, and risk evaluations, providing clear recommendations to reduce exposure and improve system resilience.
- Work closely with engineering, IT, and product teams to integrate cybersecurity requirements throughout the design and development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cybersecurity issues, collaborating with technical teams to drive timely remediation and ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Assist with incident response efforts, including analysis, documentation, and preventive follow‑up actions.
- Contribute to secure configuration, hardening, and monitoring improvements across systems and applications.
- Help advance cybersecurity processes and tooling, providing input on best practices, technology improvements, and governance initiatives.
- 5 plus years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security engineering with a solid understanding of security frameworks, technologies, and best practices in complex or regulated environments.
- 5 plus years of hands‑on experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability analysis, incident response, and common security platforms (SIEM, IDS/IPS), along with basic scripting or programming skills (Python, Java).
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (Security+, CISSP Associate, CEH, GSEC, etc.).
- Experience supporting secure system design in aerospace, defense, or similarly high assurance environments.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and risk evaluation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in cross functional engineering environments.
- Curiosity and a drive to stay current with evolving cybersecurity trends and emerging threats.
