Nuclear Operations Engineer | Remote

Position: Nuclear Power Reactor Operators

Type: Contract

Compensation: $50-$110/hr

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Monitor and control reactor systems to ensure safe, stable, and efficient power generation in accordance with operational and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to alarms and shifting operational conditions, executing established safety protocols and corrective actions.
• Perform real-time system checks, analyze operational data, and document all activities and incidents with precision.
• Collaborate remotely with engineering and maintenance teams to optimize reactor performance and reduce downtime.
• Prepare clear written reports and provide concise verbal updates on reactor status and operational events.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and technological advancements.
• Contribute to the refinement of remote‑operating procedures to ensure robust oversight and rapid response capabilities.

Requirements

• Certified Nuclear Power Reactor Operator with a current or prior NRC license or equivalent credentials.
• Strong understanding of nuclear plant operating principles, safety systems, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high accuracy and clarity.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, attention to detail, and sound judgment in high‑stakes environments.
• Experience using digital monitoring systems and remote‑control interfaces in nuclear or similar energy facilities.
• Ability to work independently in a structured remote setting while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
