Electrical Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator who will review blueprints and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. This role involves performing accurate quantity takeoffs of available design documents and obtaining up-to‑date pricing information from databases, contractors, and suppliers.

• Input estimate takeoff information for specific disciplines and develop unit cost pricing.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop a clear understanding of project scope during estimate preparation.
• Build relationships with members of A/E firms and project team members.
• Assist senior staff in enhancing project efficiency and seek methods to improve task accuracy and efficiency.
• Organize and maintain project documents such as drawings and specifications.
• Keep project files on the file server in accordance with company standards.
• Update and maintain a data library of costs.
• Prepare cost reconciliation between multiple estimates and explain variance cost drivers.

• Proficiency in estimation, electrical systems, construction, bidding, and blueprint reading.
• Experience with construction management and electrical construction.
• Familiarity with preconstruction processes.
• Experience using Acubid, Neca, and other estimating software.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of electronic takeoff, including CAD Measure.
• Experience with a commercially available construction cost estimating system.
• Proficient in using Information Technology, including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.
• Professional designation such as RICS, CCE, CCM, AIA, PE, ASPE, AACEI, CVS, AVS, RA, or any appraisal licensure is preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
