About the role:
As a Licensing Engineer you will support the deployment of advanced nuclear technology, with a focus on Advanced Plant reactor projects.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the licensing and regulatory strategy for new nuclear plant development, ensuring compliance with domestic and international standards. If you are passionate about nuclear innovation and ready to play a pivotal role in the next generation of clean energy, we invite you to bring your expertise to our dynamic team. You will report to the New Plants Licensing Manager for Safety Analysis, Risk Applications, and Licensing and will directly support the exciting growth in the Westinghouse Advanced Plant development globally.
Hybrid work arrangements (typically 2 days in an office) are available at one of the Westinghouse US Engineering Office locations including Cranberry Woods, PA, Glen Rose, TX, or Rock Hill, SC. Remote work arrangements will also be considered. Responsibilities:
* Support more senior engineering personnel in development efforts creating licensing documents for submittal to Westinghouse customers and regulatory agencies, focused on new plant technologies
* Collaborate with variety of engineering teams to create licensing inputs.
* Participate in internal, customer, and regulatory meetings to present technical materials
* Communicate nature and status of work performed to appropriate technical lead and management
* Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering Required (Typically Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Nuclear)
* Minimum 3.0 GPA
* New Graduate Engineers encouraged to apply.
* Microsoft Product skill sets required at an advanced level- so a strong ability to work within WORD and EXCEL.
* Excellent Communication skills are required as teammates and specialist are across the country and the world.
* Ability to travel within US and Globally (
