RVA is looking for a full time Engineering Designer to join their Structural team.

This is a mentored role with a firm target to develop the right candidate within an established group mentoring and collaborative environment

Duties
  • Draft structural plans, create and manage BIM models, and details for structural construction drawings.
  • Measure, assess and sketch structural layout and details for new and existing buildings, bridges, tanks and tunnels.
  • Prepare detailed design calculations and planning reports.
  • Carry out Condition Assessments and structural visual surveys.
  • Project coordination.
  • Inspection and Contract Administration of heavy civils projects.
  • Other tasks as assigned and appropriate for this position.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with up to 1-3 years of relevant experience. A focus or interest in the design of heavy civil structures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT, Micro Station, Robot, SAP
    2000, Phase 2, and other industry related software would be an asset.
  • Excellent command of the English language and the ability to communicate proficiently, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong sense of initiative and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Compensation Range

The salary range for this position is: $70,000.00 - $

Compensation for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business needs.
