- The Vehicle Systems Engineer position focuses on the development and integration of advanced vehicle system architectures on new platform designs.
- This effort focuses on decomposing requirements and behaviors and
modeling them in a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) process, supported by an industry-standard toolset (specifically CAMEO). - It requires an ability to understand and represent complex systems, subsystems, and component interactions and activities to support component hardware and software designs in various ground vehicle platforms.
- Developing systems & subsystem level requirements
, including decomposition and traceability. - Ability to accurately capture and review connectivity diagrams at a system/subsystem level in various tools (MBSE and/or electrical design capture).
- Ability to describe platform behaviors using various SysML diagrams.
- Understanding and development of vehicle & subsystem-level integration and test plans.
- Integration of various components into existing and established vehicle architectures.
- In‑lab and/or on‑vehicle testing and integration of solutions and verification of system performance.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of engineering experience
- Broad-based knowledge of systems engineering along with other technical engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
- Specific experience with one of the following more specialized areas of architecture is highly desired:
- Mobility systems (engine and transmission, drive‑by‑wire, vehicle electronics interfacing, CAN communications, etc.)
- Vehicle electronics systems (including schematic development, data networking, etc.)
- Video systems (i.e., camera, processing, display, etc.)
- Proven and demonstrated experience with MBSE and associated tools, specifically CAMEO.
- This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space). (Must be shorter than 6' 4" and weigh less than 260lbs).
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, Software, or related engineering field. Other technical degrees will be considered with related experience.
- Must be U.S. Citizen - Must be able to meet ITAR requirements, including US citizenship to be considered for this role.
- This position may require eligibility to obtain a US clearance.
