What Your Job Will Be Like

We are seeking a multi‑talented Operations Information Management Professional to provide support to our 24/7/365 Mission Operations center in Special Programs. You will focus on providing technical support in creating, updating and maintaining detailed Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for the 24/7/365 operations crews, by working with the team of OPS Engineers and OPS Lead to maintain the baseline documentation. You will also be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining a variety of mission support documentation (mission data diagrams, operational checklists, operational binders), as well as providing updates to problem tickets written on the operational baseline.

Additionally, you will create and disseminate monthly mission statistics reports to all operational mission customers as well as ensure the accuracy of the Asset and Incident tracking system within Special Programs.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Manage and update documentation in support of 24/7/365 mission operations
  • Ensure accuracy of all Mission Operations center documentation
  • Provide support to other support functions impacting 24/7/365 mission operations
  • Provide support for Contract renewals, IT related License updates/purchases and interact with external organizations within Sandia (Facilities, Site Networking, etc)
  • Provide technical support to OPS Engineers and OPS Lead (configuration management, purchasing/financial documentation, inventory management, TEM support, etc)

This role will require an ability to be on‑call for after‑hours/weekend support of mission activities 24/7/365.

Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time.

This role requires the ability to travel for customer meetings, as needed.

Salary Range

$76,000 - $146,900

* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM, Business or related discipline with at least three years relevant experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Experience with various documentation tools (i.e. Visio, Excel, Word), and ability to create/maintain/update detailed documentation
  • Active U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Q Level and DOE SCI level security clearances or equivalent.
Qualifications We Desire
  • Experience supporting Technical Exchange Meetings (pre‑coordination, support and after‑action activities) and coordinating logistics with internal/external organizations/individuals
  • Experience creating and presenting briefings to leadership and key customer personnel
  • Extraordinary written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with financial/technical/inventory documentation and processes
