Senior Drainage Engineer

We are currently supporting a well-established engineering consultancy in their search for a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer to join their team on a 3-month contract basis.

The Role
 
You will play a key role in delivering drainage and flood risk solutions across a range of infrastructure and development projects. Working autonomously, you will support design delivery, strategy development, and technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

· Undertake drainage design for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects

· Prepare and review Drainage Strategies

· Produce Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) in line with current regulations

· Develop surface water and foul water solutions in line with SuDS principles

· Use Micro Drainage or Info Drainage for modelling and design

· Liaise with internal teams, clients, and approving authorities where required

Requirements

· Proven experience in a Senior or Principal Drainage Engineer role

· Strong background in drainage design and strategy development

· Demonstrable experience producing Flood Risk Assessments

· Proficient in Micro Drainage and/or Info Drainage

· Good understanding of UK drainage standards and planning requirements (e.g. SuDS, LLFA expectations)

· Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment or in the office if local
