GPI is seeking a full-time Highway Designer for our growing Transportation & Design Team. We are looking for an individual who is ready to work collectively with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in a dynamic office environment on interesting and challenging projects. Projects with our Urban Mobility & Design Team involve a range of roadway and intersection designs, with a focus on multi-modal urban complete street projects that accommodate pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and motorists, and meet accessibility requirements.

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)- Prepare construction plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation projects for public agencies and municipalities, with a focus on multi-modal designs and safety & accessibility improvements.
- Assist in roadway design, including roadway alignments, Civil 3D Corridor modeling, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, grading, drainage design, and utility relocations.
- Utilize construction understanding to develop temporary traffic control and construction staging plans.
- BS in Civil Engineering
- EIT certification a plus
- Proficiency using Autodesk Civil 3D software
- Experience with New England public agency clients, particularly MassDOT and City of Boston
