Electrical Engineer – Data Center / Mission Critical Overview
Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and support projects in Data Centers, Mission Critical, Industrial, and Commercial facilities. Data Center experience and PE licensure are highly preferred.
Qualifications- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- PE license preferred (or in process)
- 5–10+ years of electrical engineering experience
- Data Center / Mission Critical experience strongly preferred
- Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Perform electrical calculations (load, voltage drop, short-circuit, energy code compliance)
- Develop design concepts, Basis of Design, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit
- Conduct site surveys, field verification, and construction administration support (RFIs, submittals, site visits)
- Coordinate designs with internal teams, external disciplines, utilities, and vendors
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of NEC and local codes
- Experience with equipment selection software and RSMeans
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet project deadlines
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plano, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $52.00 - $72.00/hr.
