Temp to Hire | 100% Remote (1 on-site day per quarter)
Competitive hourly rate during contract period (aligned to an $90K–$120K salary range upon conversion)
Overview
We are working with a confidential, U.S.
-based manufacturer specializing in mission‑critical HVAC and precision air solutions to identify a Design Engineer for a Temp‑to‑Hire opportunity. This role will support a growing engineering team focused on automation, configured‑to‑order products, and lead‑time reduction during an exciting period of transition and growth.
This is a fully remote role, with long‑term potential for conversion based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CAD models for HVAC and related engineered products with a focus on automation and scalability
- Apply advanced parametric modeling techniques to support automated and configured‑to‑order design workflows
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, production, and R&D to ensure designs are manufacturable and efficient
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across design and manufacturing processes
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with CAD software such as Solid Works, Inventor, Pro/E, or similar platforms
- Solid understanding of parametric modeling and its application in automated design environments
- Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing‑focused engineering environment
- Demonstrated ability to apply CAD tools to real‑world production challenges
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to automation initiatives within manufacturing or HVAC environments
- Experience supporting engineering team transitions or knowledge transfer efforts
- Background with mission‑critical or precision HVAC systems (or similar engineered products)
