Systems Engineer
Location: Northville
As part of the Professional Services team, the Solution Architect collaborates with Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and diverse stakeholders to help customers achieve their goals. This role translates business requirements into process‑aligned designs for Software solutions, leveraging multi‑product and multi‑industry expertise to deliver value.
The Solution Architect acts as a trusted advisor, ensuring technical integrity, guiding process design and integration, and mentoring teams through complex solution architecture decisions. They support customer adoption by demonstrating delivery framework and provide input to Sales and Services projects on long‑term solution roadmaps.
Operating with self‑management, the role involves leading projects of moderate complexity, curating best‑practice templates, and sharing knowledge across communities of practice.
Responsibilities- Lead project teams and customers to achieve defined goals.
- Own delivery of the full solution, including contributions from all team members.
- Coordinate technical project execution, ensuring standard methodologies and functional specifications are accurately implemented.
- Direct offshore teams to successfully deliver documented functional specifications.
- Collaborate with Project Manager on estimates, work breakdown structures, and scope enforcement.
- Build trusted advisor relationships with customers, guiding them toward standard methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or related field (experience may substitute).
- Industry background in Semiconductor, Electronics, Industrial Machinery, or Battery; advanced degree may substitute.
- Multiple years of designing Teamcenter solutions preferred; experience with Enovia, ePDM, Windchill, Aras Innovator, or Agile PLM also valued.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, resolve conflict constructively, and report results to senior management and customers.
- Willingness to travel.
- Standard university or college degree.
- Experience providing technical leadership on large‑scale software implementation projects.
- Shown success deploying prescriptive solutions using standard processes and out‑of‑the‑box (OOTB) capabilities.
- Proven ability to lead offshore teams on sophisticated implementation projects.
- Track record of driving implementation success in competitive markets.
