Position: Transportation Project Manager

Role Summary:
Steere is seeking a civil engineer with 10+ years of highway/transportation engineering experience to join our Transportation Group and assist with the delivery of transportation projects throughout New England. The role will blend technical expertise with project management to a level commensurate to the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and motivation. The successful candidate shall be experienced in civil engineering and have the leadership and organizational skills necessary to lead and manage a team of engineers on various types of transportation projects.
Typical Duties:
Management of civil highway and transportation design and contract document preparation (plans, specifications, estimates)
Management of project budget and schedule
Coordination and communication with clients, sub-consultants, and project team members
Quality review of work products
Proposal preparation and Scope and Fee development
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in civil highway/transportation engineering
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Ability to manage projects from preliminary planning through completion
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite products, and Bluebeam
RIDOT and MassDOT experience (preferred)
PE license in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts, or ability to obtain within 6 months
